WHAT IS LEADERSHIP HARDIN COUNTY?
Hardin County Leadership is a program designed to develop well informed, committed, and qualified individuals for the benefit of the future of Hardin County. The Chamber partners with local government agencies, organizations, and businesses to educate the class about the resources and industries within the area, while encouraging them to dedicate their time and talents as possible future leaders in our community.
HOW DO I APPLY?
- Complete our Google Form Application online (link can be found on our Facebook Page and our website)
- Send your resume to Director@hardincochamber.com
- When emailing your resume, please include Name and contact for your direct supervisor as well as one (1) additional reference.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
- Permission from your employer is REQUIRED. Each session will require you to miss one day of work each month, usually a Thursday (July-March). Please note that session dates may be subject to change.
- The group will travel in personal vehicles unless notified otherwise.
- It is expected, that all participants will attend each monthly function, complete all assigned meetings, and commit to working with your team on a class project.
- Orientation is mandatory! Attendance of 8 of the 9 sessions is REQUIRED, IN ORDER TO GRADUATE.
- Participant is REQUIRED to attend ONE county and ONE city commission meeting. (These are in addition to the regular sessions)
- Each class is required to develop and complete a class project to leave a lasting impact and further benefit the community. Some of the past projects include: Catfish Derby and Riverfest Benefit Concert, Carl Perkins Center Revitalization, Bicentennial Picnic Area at the Farmer’s Market, and Fill A Bus Food Drive.
- Tuition for the 9 session program is $400 and is only offered to Chamber members and their employees. Tuition is set to include meals, program costs and ONE banquet ticket to the graduation ceremony. Employers may sponsor or provide “scholarship” for their employees participating in the program.
- No tuition refunds will be issued after the program begins. (program begins with orientation session in July)
- Participants are required to volunteer at a Chamber hosted event.
